- Add coffee powder to a cup of water and give it a good mix. You can even use hot water to prepare coffee and then let it cool down but I have just used room temperature water and it works fine for me.

- Now dip a cookie into the coffee water and place it in a baking dish. Do not soak the cookies into the coffee water. Arrange all the cookies to cover the bottom of the dish completely. Now add half of the cheese mixture on top and level it. I have used an 11 * 8-inch baking dish. You can use a similar baking dish or two smaller dishes. You can even set tiramisu into individual bowls, ramekins, or glasses.



- Again make a layer of cookies dipped in coffee water. Add the remaining cheese mixture and level it. Now dust it with cocoa powder. Cover the dish with cling film and let it sit in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours to set properly. You can even prepare this dessert a day in advance.



- Remove it from the refrigerator and dust it again with some cocoa powder if you wish. Cut it into pieces with a sharp knife. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 days.


- Serve tiramisu chilled as a dessert.
