Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Mango theplas with mango salsa:

  1. For Mango thepla:-
  2. For the making the dough of thepla-
  3. 1 ripe alphanso mango
  4. 2 tbsp jaggery
  5. 1/2 raw totapuri mango
  6. 2 tbsp chopped mint leaves
  7. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  8. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  9. 2 tbsp chickpeas flour
  10. to taste Salt
  11. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1 &1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 2 tsp coriander and cumin seeds powder
  14. 2 green chillies (spicy) finely chopped
  15. 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  16. 2 tbsp oil for moyan
  17. 2-3 tbsp fresh curd
  18. Other ingredients for thepla-
  19. As required rice flour for rolling the theplas
  20. As required oil for roasting the theplas
  21. As required ghee for roasting the theplas
  22. For Mango salsa:-
  23. 1/2 alphanso mango chopped
  24. 2 tbsp chopped red bell pepper
  25. 2 tbsp chopped green bell pepper
  26. 2 tbsp chopped onions
  27. 1 tsp red chilli flakes
  28. 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  29. 1/4 tsp salt
  30. 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  31. Served with green chutney using raw mango

Instructions to make to make Mango theplas with mango salsa

  1. Mango thepla:- In a mixture jar grind the cut pieces of alphanso mango with jaggery.
  2. Grate the raw mango. Now mix all the ingredients for kneading the dough in a parat and knead the dough like paratha. Add more curd if required but have not used water for kneading the dough.
  3. Apply 2 tsp oil on the kneaded dough and keep it aside and covered for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Now make small balls out of the dough and roll them into theplas using rice flour. Now roast the theplas on both the sides on heated iron tava using oil and ghee.
  5. Similarly make all the theplas.
  6. Mango salsa:- Mix all the ingredients of salsa in a mixing bowl and smash a little with the back of a spoon. Mix well and refrigerate for an hour, so all the flavours mix well with each other. So make the salsa beforehand and serve it chilled.
  7. While serving serve the hot mango theplas with chilled mango salsa and green chutney using raw mango.
