Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Yellow dhokla:

  1. 1 bowl rice
  2. 1 bowl moong dal
  3. 1 bowl chana dal
  4. 1 bowl urad dal
  5. as required Water
  6. as per taste Salt
  7. 1 tbsp eno
  8. 1 tbsp garlic, ginger and green chilli paste
  9. as required Oil as
  10. 4 tbsp curd
  11. 1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
  12. 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  13. 2 pinches asafoetida

Steps to make to make Yellow dhokla

  1. Wash and soak the dals like chana dal, moong dal, rice and urad dal for 8 hours.
  2. After that take a mixture jar and crush the soaked dals with Adding turmeric powder and 2 tbsp curd in it, And make a batter(if required add little water) repeat the process for rest of batter. Now rest the batter for 7 hours so that fermentation will happen.
  3. Further In the batter of dhokla add salt, asafoetida, ginger, garlic and green chilli paste, eno, oil and mix it well.
  4. And take a steamer add water in bottom. Take a dish of steamer and grease it with the oil. And add the batter in it. And sprinkle red chilli powder.
  5. And steam it for around 40 minutes in medium flame. And check it with knife or toothpick that dhokla is ready or not. (If toothpick comes non sticky then dhokla is ready).After sometime cut the dhokla in shape. And Serve it with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney. Enjoy.
